I am interested in lines and shapes; pattern not tone.

I work from life, endlessly fascinated by the human figure, reducing and cropping my drawings to produce anonymous human shapes and forms in the prints.

Sometimes the figure is seen as a landscape, inviting exploration; sometimes it is more obvious, confrontational even; and sometimes secretive, encouraging the viewer as voyeur.

But the focus remains on the quality of the line: fine, heavy and fine again, to suggest mass and perspective.
